It has been a great summer, but as they say, all good things must come to an end. Blue Zone will be performing tomorrow in the final Uptown Friday Night of the 2001 season. You won't want to miss this show, we are going to close the season out in style. Our guest pourers this week are from the Cedar Rapids Kernels, Munson Electric, Ross Marketing, and Sand Communications.

Uptowns might be ending, but don't worry, we aren't slowing down at all. Final preparations are being made for our appreciation party at 3rd Street live on September 21. The LARGE Midgets and the Swing Crew will be performing on the same night. I don't think I need to tell you how much fun we will have that night, the band lineup pretty much speaks for itself.

We have also started planning for next year. Over the next few months we will be heading out to see local bands perform as we begin the booking process. (It's a tough job, but I'm willing to pick up the gauntlet here since I'm such a team player). If you have any suggestions for bands we need to check out, feel free to send me an e-mail.
