Mackie Blue is a new and upcoming band in the Cedar Rapids area. Although they are new as a group, there are some veteran players in this group, who are no strangers to the music scene. Frontman Karl Hudson was the founding member and lead vocalist for Justin Case, one of the area�s most popular and versatile bands for many years, as well as a well recognized solo artist, who has fronted many successful groups in central Florida as well.

Matthew Kane is the newest member of the band, playing bass and singing backup and lead vocals. Matthew has a long music history, growing up playing bass, drums, and singing in his parents' band "Amarilla." Most recently, Matthew played in the band ROUGHSTOCK.

Drummer, Ben Isbell, cut his teeth in the high school Jazz band and the River of Life Church and at the tender age of 21 years old, is quickly becoming a powerhouse drummer with lots of energy and untapped potential.

Lead Guitarist, Ryan Rolling, is quickly becoming one of the most sought after guitarists in Eastern Iowa. Rolling and frontman Hudson have been dazzling Eastern Iowa audiences as an acoustical duo since the fall of 2000 with their vast repertoire, an eclectic selection of classic and contemporary rock, as well as a country ballad or two. They offer something for everyone.

These four musicians have come together to form Mackie Blue. They are quickly becoming one of the areas most popular bands, performing songs by such artists as Doobie Bros., R.E.O., Crosby, Stills and Nash, Beatles, Pink Floyd, Aerosmith, Lynyrd Skynyrd, as well as contemporary artists such as Creed, Fuel, Matchbox 20 , Sister Hazel and Nickelback, just to name a few.
